Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

 To supervise the running of a safe and efficient operation, working within clear guidelines to help achieve Operational Standards and defined outcomes for your responsibility area / shift,
 Implement actions as directed to reduce or eliminate health and safety related risks,
 Communicate Objectives & KPIs applicable to your team (coordinators), align the expected frequency for tracking them, how the results are calculated and on which reports they can find the results,
 Communicate Roles & Responsibilities applicable to your team (coordinators) and ensure they are trained and prepared to execute the expected activities,
 Update Daily resource planning for next shift, based on latest volume and volume profile information. Receive Daily resource planning updated from previous shift and define shift priorities with coordinator,
 Track shift's performance and understand deviations with Frontline Leadership,
 Review and Approve the Standard Operational Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI) of your area and ensure that review’s process and approval are taken under the established due dates,
 Prepare, make and document the shift handover with your colleague of next shift and report to direct manager the main points identified during your working day and shift to your direct manager,
 Conduct leadership performance meetings, discussing the shift's needs and priorities, ensuring that actions are taken by your team and/or support areas,
 Conduct pre-shift meetings with your team, ensuring clear communication regarding the site's Key Performance Indicators and improvement actions in process,
 Discuss Kaizen (improvement opportunities) raised by the team with your colleagues of Second Line Leadership and with site manager, ensuring actions are implemented - Weekly Kaizen Meeting for follow up and escalating any issue,
 Control your operational processes (inbound, picking, outbound, VAS, etc), fulfilling service level agreeded and deadlines established,
 Responsibility for recruiting and developing team and managing performance within local guidelines, with resource support as appropriate,
 Implement the required security measures to protect the site premises, including the safety of personnel, DSC assets and of the customer's product for the required area,
 Communicate all relevant DPDHL policies to frontline employees and monitor their implementation on a regular basis,
 Participate in customer, regulatory and internal operational audits as required and work with the team to implement the agreed action plan.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Intermediate (B1)

Personality requirements and skills

 Slovak language – fluent (written and spoken),
 English language – intermediate,
 Previous operations experience,
 Experience in team management,
 Experience in multi-site environment is an advantage,
 Secondary education,
 Ability to deploy and change resource allocations during the shift in response to the changing requirements,
 Ability to drive standards within the direct team,
 Ability to deliver results under stress,
 Ability to manage change processes,
 Communication, coaching and active listening skills,
 Problem solving skills, conflict resolution,
 Flexible to work on 2 shifts schedule.
