Transport operational manager

• Providing centralized managed transport services to the business and customer, delivering value to both - i.e. route planning and optimization, customer services, risk management – vehicle tracking and expediting, best practice and standardization.
• Maximize the weekly, monthly and annual performance of the Control Tower and Client service by providing leadership, focusing on customer requirements, effective operational performance, a motivated workforce, succession planning
• Develop strategic plans optimizing the Slovakian and European network
• Management of positive customer relationships and work closely with the customer's procurement and sourcing departments to provide logistics expertise on strategic projects,
• Manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to meet and exceed contractual terms and DHL expectations,
• Manage and provide freight costs for potential and existing suppliers in the Slovakia, UK, Europe and global supply base,
• Strategic planning activity based on monthly operational activities and costing the re-plans to ensure commercial validity,
• Operational/ Planning issues are identified and resolve to the customers satisfaction within the agreed time lines ensuring plant production is protected and DHL do not incur any significant on cost,
• Support the other functions such as Slovakia / EU and to examine potential synergies with other volumes. Agreement of cost and forward forecast based on customer volumes.
