Job description, responsibilities and duties
We are looking for a new colleague to join our global Talent Acquisition team. Your job will be to recruit and select top talent for Descartes’ Slovak and Czech offices but also for other countries in the EMEA region. You will be working with regional HR and business leaders. This is a temporary position as a deputy for maternity leave. This position is based in our Zilina office, but the successful candidate is given the flexibility to work from home also, owing to our hybrid working policy.

What will you do?
- Managing the recruitment process from start to onboarding (sourcing, screening, interviewing, managing offers and hiring new talent)
- Proactive communication with potential candidates – telephone screening and conducting online and in-person interviews.
- Communication with hiring managers and other colleagues taking part in the recruitment process.
- Creating job advertisements and recruitment materials
- Presenting the company at job fairs (University Days) other recruitment events
- Creating awareness of Descartes in the market through social media and networking
- Producing regular reports on candidate selection
- Assistance and support for the company’s HR projects participation in global HR related projects
- Performing other HR duties on an ad hoc basis
- Manage high volume of requisitions and changing priorities.

Personality requirements and skills
- 2-3 years’ experience as a full cycle recruiter, ideally in corporate environment. (IT recruitment preferred)
- Excellent relationship management and influencing skills with a focus on delivering value added client experience.
- Proven ability in attracting new talent and managing candidate pipelines.
- Previous experience working within fast-paced, dynamic, direct recruit methods and complex hiring processes.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work on 10-15 requisition at a time.
- Proven ability in managing candidate campaigns, cold calling, networking, company representation at networking functions and events
- Previous experience with LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Excellent computer and systems skills, with a strong knowledge of MS Office Software, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Self-starter and able to work in a team environment or independently as required.
- Ability to deal with competing priorities and be able to manage time appropriately.
- A person who is a quick processor and brings a positive and high-energy approach to getting things done.
