EU Funding Senior Consultant (f/m)

Who we're looking for:

There is an opportunity for an EU Funding Professional to join the Global Investment & Innovation Incentives (GI3) team.

  • Our project management approach includes a standardized project management governance methodology utilized in all important projects. The approach is both an art and a science. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in business-relevant subject (business, economy, technical, environmental);
  • Min. 3-4 years professional experience in public (EU) funded projects preferably investment projects in the area of e.g. environment, energy, infrastructure including management of preparation of project for funding, grant application preparation support, management throughout the full implementation of project;
  • Understanding the EU state aid/ public funding legislation and knowledge of European and Slovak EU funding landscape;
  • Good project/workload management skills to ensure timely delivery of client work;
  • An ambition to develop a career within the sphere of project management and coordination;
  • Interest and orientation in (emerging) public funding sources, European Green Deal topics (advantage);
  • Target orientation, responsibility, flexibility, ability to work both in team and independently;
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English and strong communication skills with the ability to discuss project work whilst working under an offshoring model;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Your future role:

The role will be central to the operation of the team, assisting senior members of the team in progressing large engagements handled by the business. The position will have a diverse range of responsibilities and will directly support the business unit leadership by playing an important role in the implementation and delivery of any operational projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Project management of public (EU) funded projects throughout the whole project cycle including preparation, grant application filing, contracting, implementation, closure and sustainability, coordination of client internal teams;
  • Funding opportunities identification and evaluation of eligibility experience;
  • Working with the manager to define project-specific requirements for the project’s risk mitigation process;
  • If tailoring is necessary, updating the Project Management Plan and corresponding Risks & Issues Log accordingly, and documentation of the tailoring in the Tailoring Log;
  • Identification and validation of risks in the Risks & Issues Log;
  • Review and approval of risks resolution plans and assignments;
  • Tracking risks assigned to the team leads and escalating unresolved issues when necessary;
  • Reporting project risk status;
  • Cooperation with local and global team.
