Manager for Global Investment & Innovation Incentives Team (f/m)

A manager in our growing Global Investment & Innovation Incentives (GI3) team. Are you ready for the next stage in your career?

What we are looking for:

  • Min. 6 years professional experience in public (EU) funded projects preferably investment projects in environment, energy, or infrastructure, including management of project funding preparation, grant application preparation support, management of the full implementation of projects;
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of EU state aid / public funding legislation and knowledge of the European and Slovak EU funding landscape;
  • Experience in project opportunity identification, financial, material and personnel analysis;
  • Interest and orientation as regards (emerging) public funding sources, European Green Deal topics;
  • Excellent project / workload management skills to ensure timely delivery of client work;
  • Target orientation, responsibility, flexibility, ability to work with the team and independently.
  • Ability and drive to identify and develop new business opportunities;
  • Leadership skills and experience in leading teams;
  • Communication skills and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and strong communication skills with the ability to discuss project work under an offshoring model;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel;
  • Master’s degree in business-relevant subject (business, economy, technical, environmental) an advantage.

Your future role:


This role will be central to the operation of the team, leading it in large project engagements. The position will have a diverse range of responsibilities and will directly support the business unit leadership by playing an important role in the implementation and delivery of operational projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Building successful client relationships with clients;
  • Helping our clients with their business challenges;
  • Funding opportunities identification and evaluation of eligibility experience;
  • Project management of public (EU) funded projects throughout the whole project cycle including preparation, grant application filing, contracting, implementation, closure and sustainability, coordination of client internal teams;
  • Creation of business cases including analysis, budgeting, client negotiations and deal closures with clients;
  • Working with the project manager on defining project-specific requirements for the project’s risk mitigation process;
  • If tailoring is necessary, updating the Project Management Plan and corresponding Risks & Issues Log accordingly, and documenting the tailoring in the Tailoring Log;
  • Identification and validation of risks in the Risks & Issues Log;
  • Review and approval of risks resolution plans and assignments;
  • Tracking risks assigned to the team leads and escalating unresolved issues when necessary;
  • Reporting project risk status;
  • Cooperation with the local and global team, development of the team and junior colleagues.
