ITAM Automation/Data Developer

What you’ll achieve

Unlike any other team, in IT Asset Management (ITAM) you have the unique opportunity to start primarily as a business data analyst and obtain new developer skills through “learning-by-doing”. The team continuously adjusts to the ever-changing challenges of managing thousands of different software products and publishers with automations and data integrations instead of manual effort. As a member of ITAM you will also have a unique opportunity to develop an end-to-end, top-to-bottom, inside-out understanding of how multinational corporations use thousands of different technologies to make the company function on a daily basis. Our team interacts with every part of the organization from IT Infrastructure Management to Cybersecurity, Procurement to Finance, Governance to Compliance, Business user teams to Engineering support teams, Executive leadership to external consultants. We have an insight into every technology used at the company: client or server, Linux or Windows, virtualized or containerized, open source or commercial, cloud or on-premises, off-the-shelf or home-grown, SaaS or PaaS. You will:

• Analyze and identify opportunities for automation, integration, streamlining and new functionality for Software Asset & Inventory Management (SAM)
• Design and develop solutions for: API integrations, ETL processes, Data Warehouse implementations, Data scraping, Business adaptors, Front-end and back-end automation
• Collaborate with Software Asset Managers, Procurement & Vendor Management, Cybersecurity and Governance teams to meet their automation, data, and integration needs
• Demonstrate the capacity for continuous learning, creativity, and innovation to develop smart solutions in a small but versatile DevOps team

Essential Requirements

• Beginner to advanced experience using any of these programming/scripting languages: PowerShell, Python, C# (or the willingness to convert your experience with other languages to these)
• Some experience and understanding using SQL for data analytics, data integrations and ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) processes
• Strong experience using Microsoft Excel for analyzing data, and Microsoft Visio (or similar) for creating documentation and diagrams

Desirable Requirements

• Any previous experience or interest in REST or other APIs, JSON, RegEx; Any previous experience or interest in advanced data visualization and BI tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, BOBJ, or Cognos
• Basic Understanding of the Software Lifecycle process (evaluate-validate-onboard-implement-sustain-review-sunset) or Software License Compliance processes
