Global Category Management Sr.Advisor - Global Real Estate & Facilities

As a part of Dell’s Indirect Procurement team, the Global Real Estate & Facilities (GREF) Global Category Management Consultant will develop and execute global facilities sourcing strategies. Facilities Management is critical for an effective and efficient employee working environment and this role will be a lead contributor across the globe as a sourcing partner to the Facilities organization.

This role has broad exposure to Facilities operations and management across the globe and involves a wide variety of sub-categories like hard services, soft services, catering, office supplies, etc. This challenging and diverse category provides an interesting and varied opportunity and is part the Dell global indirect procurement organization. This global team has procurement responsibility for a wide variety of categories and offers category rotation career opportunities longer term. This team generates value for the company, not only through the negotiation of advantageous business terms, but also through helping to establish the work environment of the future and providing holistic view and management of facilities management across the breadth of Dell.

WHAT IT TAKES TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

•Strong Category ownership: deep and meaningful understanding of Category use-cases, spend / revenue, and trends across Dell’s business units, and desire for continuous improvement against key Category metrics.
•Active partnership with business stakeholders: credibility with business counterparts both through procurement excellence and subject-matter expertise winning a strategic advisory role with early involvement, thought leadership, and a “seat at the table” in critical Category decision-making. Strong collaboration with and focus on support to the business partners.
•Drive for industry leading value: best-in-industry value capture orientation in Category spend through sourcing strategy, negotiation, contract excellence, and continuous improvement.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Drives the development and execution of the EMEA Facilities sourcing strategy◦Gain deep understanding of internal spend, industry trends and best-in-class benchmarks
•Execute cost modeling and identify areas of opportunity
•Create multi-year vision to maximize value capture in the category for Dell
•Execute vision through key strategic initiatives

•Support sourcing activities for the Dell facilities organization◦Advise business partners on potential suppliers, projected costs, supply-side risk and opportunities
•Lead sourcing decisions where applicable
•Support and execute negotiations with supplier (develop negotiation plan, coordinate internal positioning during negotiations, lead communication with suppliers)
•Forecast expected cost and track results to financial goals
•Complete contract activities in line with legal and corporate guidelines

•Manage Supplier Relationships for Dell facilities management providers and develop and facilitate this program for the GREF team.◦Lead supplier performance management process (e.g. EBRs, QBRs)
•Be the escalation point for all areas of conflict with the key providers
•Ensure providers are in compliance with all contractual requirements, as well as corporate, industry, and regional regulations. Similarly, ensure Dell compliance to contractual requirements
•Advise internal business partners and sourcing teams on potential areas of leverage or conflict with regards to the provider relationship

Osobnostné predpoklady a zručnosti

Required:

•Core procurement experience in the areas of negotiations, complex contracting, stakeholder management and sourcing strategy development
•Graduate degree and 5-8 years relevant experience
•Strong business acumen balanced with technical aptitude
•Drive for results
•Analytical and problem solving skills
•Excellent presentation skills
•Ability to influence stakeholders across a wide and cultural diverse organization across the globe.
Preferred

•Exposure to facilities management including the setup of pricing models (e.g., cost plus, MGP, etc.) and understanding of key business consideration around those pricing models as well as agency contracting models and associated tax considerations in various countries across EMEA and the world.
•Working experience and language capabilities in varied countries across EMEA
•Previous experience working with or for a top tier TFM/IFM provider or facilities operations organization
•E-sourcing experience (ie. Ariba)
