Ensures journal entries are completed accurately and on time, as well as properly documented and approved according Dell policy.
Ensures VAT sub-ledgers are reconciled to general ledger balances.
Cooperates with other departments relating VAT queries (COGS & Revenue Accounting, Statutory Accounting, Tax, VAT accounting, FFS, FP&A).
Analyses transactions in detail, analyses balances in total for the Q/Q or Y/Y movements to confirm the business rationale of the balances.
Ensures balances are reflecting the actual and accurate position, including booking of respective allowances / deferrals / accruals when appropriate
Supports audit requirements (internal controls & audits, external audit - Researches and responds to CSA, SOX, Corporate Governance and audit issues
Leads Accounting Projects to improve processes within Accounting
Essential and desirable requirement
Formal Accounting Qualification (ACCA , CIMA or other Similar Qualification) is an Advantage
Master Degree in Economics is an advantage
Minimum 2 years Accounting experience
MS Office (Excel expert)
English language – expert
Ability to manage varying workloads throughout the month / quarter
Structured approach to the process elements of the role and ability to meet the given deadlines, drive for results with limited supervision
High attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Ability to work with a variety of groups (inside and outside of Accounting)
Evidence of leadership and ability to deal with change successfully
