Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

  • Provides direct supervision over warehouse staff, including performance feedback, coaching and mentoring.
  • Accomplishes warehouse objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, implementing safety standards.
  • Planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions.
  • Oversees warehouse schedules, budgets, and project deliverables.
  • Responsible for good reception, storage and expedition.
  • Responsible for monitoring, and managing policies and processes as it pertains to material movement throughout the manufacturing organization (and adhering to policies and procedures).
  • Responsible for moving inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from warehouse.
  • Coordinating inventory transfers with related departments.
  • Responsible for maintaining and controlling inventory accuracy to ensure optimum levels while continuing to improve line fills on orders for the manufacturing organization.
  • Works closely with Operations, Materials, Customer Service, and freight carriers to ensure that customer needs are met.
  • Identifies, recommends and implements process improvements.
  • Work with ERP system - be key user for Warehousing in ERP system, ensuring training for warehouse employees.
  • Work with warehouse equipment, including crane.

  • Practical experience with using forklifts, other manipulation equipments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in detailed operational leading of warehouse team.
