HR Services Specialist – Payroll and HR Administration

Who you are

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field
  • You have 2+ years experience in an HR administrator role including payroll
  • You demonstrate very good understanding of payroll and timekeeping systems and processes
  • You have deep knowledge of the Slovak labor law
  • You have worked with HR systems before (HRIS, HRMS)
  • You keep up-to-date with the newest developments in legislature
  • You always deliver high quality work with a customer focus
  • You are naturally curious and like to find solutions to any problem
  • You take on responsibility for your work in any situation and maintain a positive attitude no matter what
  • You possess excellent English language skills

What you will do

  • Prepare and process the payroll for our offices in Slovakia and the USA in collaboration with external payroll providers
  • Improve all internal processes related to payroll and HR administration
  • Support employees and HR Business Partners in all payroll and HR admin related questions
  • Develop a professional reporting system and prepare regular reports on HR metrics and ad hoc data analyses
  • Record all employee absences (i.e. sick leaves, vacation, etc.)
  • Maintain personnel files and update internal HR system
  • Prepare and distribute HR documents (i.e. work contracts)
  • Help employees acquire work permits and visas for their postings abroad
  • Liaise with external partners to ensure legal compliance
  • Revise company guidelines and policies (i.e. employee handbook)
  • Assist in all operational learning and development activities (i.e. language training, e-learning, etc.)
  • Support in on- and offboarding of employees
  • Lead and/or participate in HR projects

Nice to have

  • Experience with the process of posting employees abroad
  • Some knowledge in a foreign labor law (i.e. USA, Germany)
  • International study and/or work experience
