You are interested in Big Data technologies and their use cases. You understand the basics of computing and you are thrilled by the revolution that distributed computing brings to the world.
  • You understand MS and Linux basics from the user’s perspective
  • You have tried by yourself some of the following technologies: Hadoop, SAP HANA, Splunk, Neo4j…
  • You understand the basics of programing theory (university or high programming school class attendance level is sufficient)
  • You can communicate in English and German

You will be responsible

In the role of the Junior Big Data Consultant, you will be mainly responsible for two areas:
1. Self-development and study of necessary technologies. You will apply them during various tasks within our infrastructure that includes SAP and Big Data landscape.
2. You will support your colleagues in learning and applying basic consulting skills in a professional manner.

Your tasks will include:
  • Mastering core technologies: Linux, SAP Basis and Hadoop (first 3 months)
  • Supporting your colleagues in operations
  • Participating in the internal infrastructure change management together with senior colleagues
  • Proactively proposing changes to make things smarter and better within our team
  • Following instructions and plan progress with your “buddy” – a senior colleague
  • Participating in company and team activities

Once you master core technologies and consulting skills, you can take part in many challenging projects that our service line is providing both internally and externally to our customers. Those projects are related to SAP Basis, integration and implementation services with Hadoop and Data Science. Time to master core knowledge depends on your abilities, but it usually takes around 2 years.
