Sr. Controls Engineer

We have an immediate opportunity for a experienced Controls Engineer – electrohydraulic systems to join our diverse engineering team of Industrial Projects, Systems & Services. This position is for Povazska Bystrica, Slovakia location. The Engineer will be responsible for design and development of various hydraulic system controls algorithms for Industrial projects & systems. You will be responsible for contributing technologies which can change the economics of Industrial business. You will design system controls for hydraulics pump and electric motor, drive systems, generate IP, plan and support to execute field trials to understand their needs, and work closely with the team to assess business impact and constraints. You must be proficient with new product development methodologies, tools and practices, and must have experience of full life cycle development of hydraulics or relevant domain products, on multiple projects including requirements, design, development, and testing.

Job Responsibilities:
- Work with team on system strategies, based on application knowledge and system&product technologies knowledge.
- Give input to future product technologies to product development teams – seen from a system point of view.
- Participation on projects for advanced system development.

Background & Skills:
The ideal candidate possesses these skills:
- University degree in Electrical or Mechatronics or related engineering area with 2-4 years of engineering/product design experience in relevant area/industry.
- Experience with various microcontrollers/PLC architectures.
- Experience with developing various Industrial applications and/or distributed systems, electronic controls and communication, especially the interfaces and hardware software integration.
- Experience with Ethernet and wireless communications. („nice to have“)
- Experience with Matlab/Simulink for algorithm definition and software engineering
- Hydraulic applications experience is an advantage.
- Very good communication skills in Slovak & English
