Production Manager

Danfoss Power Solutions is a world-class provider of mobile hydraulic and electrification products and solutions. Currently we are looking for an enthusiastic and diligent Production manager at our site in Povazska Bystrica, Slovakia.
Your will be responsible for coordinating of production activities to enhance the quality and quantity of our products and services while respecting safety standards and environmental regulations. You will become a part of the Production organization, cooperating with colleagues from other departments. You must be able to work independently and systematically, while at the same time you are also a good team player, who can interact and communicate well with people at all levels.


Job Responsibilities
• ensure conditions and control of compliance with the rules for safe work according to the valid legislation in the Slovak Republic
• design and implement production / assembly processes (selection of machines, jigs, gauges, technological procedures ...) so that all quality requirements arising from Special Requirements of Customers, Global and Local Standards as well as technical documentation are met, perform control activities (gemba walk, layered audits)
• ensure the capacity, flexibility of machinery and organization of production / assembly centers to match the level of order.
• set planning data for production and assembly so that the requirements in the area of deliveries on time are met
• selection / design of machinery with regard to safety, compliance with quality requirements, capacity, flexibility and cost.
• adequate maintenance of the equipment in order to produce safely, with quality, on time, with reasonable costs and equipment utilization (OEE).
• support of education according to the requirements for positions according to the qualification matrix. Regular evaluation, leadership and motivation of employees. Processing of qualification matrices so that the requirements imposed on individual departments are met, to ensure substitutability and succession of employees
• cost planning during the planning / budgeting period.
• Planning and implementation of continuous improvement processes with the aim of improving KPI / PPI in individual areas - increasing security, quality, improving KPIs in the area of on-time deliveries and reducing costs.
• Working with colleagues across multiple functions and locations is key to success in this role.


Background & Skills
To be considered for this position, you have an educational background in engineering as well as:
• At least 2 years of experience in production management
• Experience with ISO/TS 16949 and related quality core tools such as TPM (OEE, SMED, 5S, predictive maintenance, SOP), TIP/ Road map, PPAP and Change management
• Leadership (Performance management, Motivation, Coaching, Employee development)
• Root Cause Problem Solving
• Good coordination skills and strong knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills along with a good understanding of other cultures.
• Fluent in English
