Chief Accountant

Join our Shared Service Centre as a Chief Accountant, work together with great colleagues within Danfoss group and use your organizational talent to coordinate with various stakeholders, auditors, and suppliers.
You will work from Povazska Bystrica and report to a local Manager.

Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
• Responsible for accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information
• Perform closing activities (monthly, quarterly, annually) in compliance with corporate and country legislation and guidance
• Preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance
• Prepare internal and external audit schedules and respond to inquiries
• Prepare or review/approve monthly journal entries and reconciliations
• Initiate and/ or participate in continuous improvement projects
• Working closely with R2R/P2P/O2C teams, Group Reporting, Group Tax, Business Controllers, Business Partners to make sure end-to-end processes are adhered to and performed with right quality
• Guarantees 100% compliance with all relevant local legislation (e.g. statutory accounting standards, tax law, civil law) and internal group accounting guidelines in cooperation with local tax advisors
