Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

Mechanical and electrical interfacing of brake control to existing structures, bogie brake equipment and control system
Integration of brake control with new propulsion equipment to best utilise new dynamic brake capability
Define and implement train level verifications strategy
Check supplier verification strategy and integrate with train level
First article verification with supplier
Support to first installation on prototype retrofit
Generate design review and vehicle acceptance packages
Support to gaining NOBO acceptance as necessary
Test specifications and report authoring
Define/review/integrate revised brake system maintenance
Support on braking issues in initial service
Supporting operational on-track testing

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2) or German - Intermediate (B1)

Personality requirements and skills

Mechanical Engineering Degree and/or Rolling Stock Design Knowledge
At least 5 years previous knowledge & experience of rolling stock or Transportation engineering
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of an international team
Advanced English language (writing and reading) is a must
