*General description of KBC Group Mobile Center of Excellence (CoE) *Mobile Center of Excellence is a Central team for all of KBC Group. We are a team that creates, drives and ensures top quality development of apps for KBC Group. We are involved in all stages of the app life – we help business define needs, we guide developer teams in the build process, or when needed we role the sleeves up and code apps ourselves. We work for six countries – Belgium, Czech, Ireland, Hungary, Bulgaria and Slovakia. KBC Group has six banks, five insurance companies, and other financial service companies (leasing, investments, etc.). This gives us opportunity to learn & work across various geographies and nearly all of the financial industry.* *How we work... *We gather professionals that know when to do what, and are not shy to give others guidance across architectural decisions, design principles and frameworks. None of us works alone, but in a team, that has the in-depth knowledge, from which we can both learn and enjoy. In the early stage of the project cycle, we shape the product specification, define developement pace and stretch ourselves by challanging the satus quo. And we try to have fun too ;-)   *Main projects / types of projects and technologies *In banking enviroment we work on mobile banking apps and their in-app features, ranging from new ways of logining in (think: face) to new payments (think digital wallets, online payments, P2P), we solve security & trust challanges (ranging from in-app components down to architectural). In insurance we cover the apps that sell new insurance products to existing or new customers or we build apps that pay out insurance policies (with the prerequite steps like claim notifications, etc.) We love full stack developers and architects as we work across both native & hybrid and in various frameworks. Why? Becouse our clients (the banks, insurance companies, and others, in the six countries) use different stacks. But if you only love Swift, and only love Scrum we will still want to have you, and you will work in your preferred way.
