Actuary

This is a unique opportunity for a qualified Actuary with excellent analytical, decision-making skills, and strategic thinking to become part of an international team while gaining some valuable experience.

Responsibilities

• Be a part of the team responsible for the development and UAT of a leading reserving solution that will be deployed in 2022
• Assisting in the completion of the quarterly reserving process and the preparation of reports for the Reserving Committee
• Using Dataiku to manage the reserving solution.
• Collaborating with External Auditors and independent reviewers on the reserving work.
• Assisting the Actuarial function with technical provision coordination and calculation as well as supporting the Underwriting and Ceded strategy with research and analysis

• Supporting the actuarial team in integrating Machine Learning and sophisticated data science techniques into the reserving solution.
• Influencing ad engaging with key stakeholders within the organization, with a focus on developing actuarial analysis that will feedback into the business and decision making.

 Requirements

• Planning and analytical skills
• Preferred qualified actuary with professional accreditation, with at least 3 years of experience (preferably 6+ years of experience)
• Previous work experience as part of an actuarial team in the commercial (re)insurance market
• Strong collaboration and influencing skills to deliver results leveraging cross-functional resources
• Exceptional quantitative and qualitative analysis skills, great strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and writing communication skills in English
• Nice to have Machine learning and advanced data science methodologies knowledge; Snowflake and Power BI experience

 Brutto’s base salary will depend on the working experience, professional qualification and skills of the candidate. The advertised amount is the minimum salary offered for this role and does not include bonuses, benefits, or a variable part of the salary.
