Technical Manager - Lighting Engineering

We are looking for an experienced Technical Engineer with extensive knowledge of lighting mechanical and optical design in automotive industry, supporting company's global development team (China, Germany &US).

Responsibilities:

• Recording, evaluation and prioritization of technical requirements in complex environments
• Direct communication with the customer regarding technical negotiation
• Identification and evaluation of possible project risks
• Ensuring success of the project through active change & release management as well as the internal representation of customer interests
• Organization, moderation and Execution of engineering meetings/workshops/problem resolution and related technical tests and demonstrations
• Participate on definition of Technical Road Map on future lighting technologies

Requirements:

• 5+ years of relevant product development experience and extensive knowledge of  lighting engineering (Mechanical Design, Optical design)
• Team leading experience
• Advanced level of English and German
• Knowledge of interior lighting products (Ambient Light, Dynamic Light) is nice to have
• Some basic knowledge of Lighting electronics (LIN RGB LEDs), car communication networks (LIN, CAN, …), corresponding lighting HW/SW platforms
• Experience with RFQ technical management (including timing, quality, cost, delivery etc).
• Some experience with international environment and global projects
• Willingness to travel (about 30%)
• Excellent organization and coordination skills, analytical thinking and self-drive

Brutto base salary will depend on the working experience, professional qualification and skills of the candidate. The advertised amount is minimum salary which can be offered for this role and does not include bonuses, benefits or variable part of the salary.
