Transactional Procurement Team Lead (afternoon shifts)

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Fully responsible for the staffing, monitoring and leading of the assigned PO execution team operational Specialists supporting America region (Junior Specialists/ Specialists/ Senior Specialists), including steering, workload allocation, scheduling and review of performed work.
  • Ensure the understanding and compliant service delivery across Covestro of agreed policies and procedures by team members.
  • Understand service level agreements and key performance indicators for Procurement related business processes.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of Procurement data, such as received purchase requisitions, purchase orders, good/ service receipts (credit notes and invoices processed by team members).
  • Supports team members to achieve performance and quality standards as defined in relevant service level agreements and acts as first contact in case of escalations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the team members as required.
  • Assist in the implementation of initiatives for improving the efficiency and/or effectiveness of the Procurement transaction processing.
  • Responsible for all HR relevant topics within his/her team.
  • Participation in international projects in the area of Procurement.
  • Sustainable development of the employee and the individual performance.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Degree in business or technical field.
  • Several years of experience in Procurement operations, preferably in a Service Center environment, with a thorough knowledge of Procurement and business processes.
  • Work experience with SAP and typical other IT-tools. Technical understanding of IT supported processes to increase process automation.
  • Self-disciplined with ability to work independently.
  • Excellent leadership to establish and to lead the whole team in the right spirit to achieve the objectives.
  • Acts as a role model within the team.
  • Intercultural view.
  • Ability to adapt to new culture and people.
  • Strong service orientation: strong commitment to customer orientation and understanding of customer needs and market trends.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to effectively present concepts to cross-functional teams, customers and stakeholders.
  • Ability/willingness to travel for a longer period during transition phase.
  • Excellent command of English
