Job description, responsibilities and duties

The IT Competence Center R&D Tires provides a central platform for managing the product lifecycle (PLM) to the tires research and development department of Continental. The application supports the business processes to plan and execute international product and technology development (e.g. activity and resource planning). As a Software Engineer you extend the system and implement new requirements in a cross-functional team.

Your tasks would be:

> Implementation of requirements on a modern JAVA Web-stack.
> Management of the application lifecycle (requirement engineering, design,
implementation and support).
> Ongoing development of the technical architecture.
> Working in development projects.
> Ensure Software Quality, for example by static code analysis.
> Support and Training of key-users.

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Educational Specialization

IT or similar

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Other knowledge

Java - Skillful

Personality requirements and skills

> University degree in Computer Science or related
subject area.
> Several years of work experience as a software developer.
> Proficiency in JAVA or similar programming language.
> Experience in web application development with Java,
Unit-Testing, Javascript, Angular, GIT, IDEA, Maven.
> Experience in agile development methodologies.
> Fluent in English (written and spoken).
> Excellent communication and moderation skills.
> Strong focus on software quality.
