Job description, responsibilities and duties

1) Pursues companies declared strategic target of “Zero Breakdowns”.
2) Implements and lives Continentals global Maintenance System "MaintainME".
3) Ensures that targets for Maintenance KPIs, such as MTTR, MTBF, etc. are achieved
through part reliability.
4) Manages spare parts and local services in cooperation with the Purchasing
department, incl. technical and commercial negotiations, tenders, supplier selection,
ordering process and contract preparation.
5) Supports the startup of new equipment and interacts with suppliers in order to
implement required mechanical equipment upgrades.
6) Engages suppliers for cost improvements and alternatives to high usage parts.
7) Assists in maintenance through analyzing parts failures and root cause analysis of
failures.
8) Surveys spare parts inventory on a regular basis and adjusts min/max levels to meet
optimum inventory level.
9) Analyzes reasons for out of stock parts and take corrective measures.
10) Leads mechanical and electrical in-plant repair areas to reduce part repair cost.
11) Analyzes part repair times and cost to best utilize the part repair labor.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Educational Specialization

preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

1) Experience:
 a) Has participate to machine improvement,
refurbishment, upgrade or installation projects.
 b) Has led a small group, or participated in a
leadership development role.
 c) Has had regular international contacts through
projects, colleagues or suppliers.
2) Technical pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical
knowledge.
3) SAP program knowledge.
4) Tire manufacturing knowledge.
