Job description, responsibilities and duties
- Acquisition of material for our products in phase of development
- Generation and evaluation of BOM cost during project quotation, Track and Improve BOM cost from project quoting phase until SOP
- Responsible to control the supplier-related milestones during the product development phase – in time sourcing
- Ensure early involvement of sourcing relevant disciplines and suppliers, Continuous feedback of APQP / PPAP status from SQM, Follow-up on supplier and material status
- Coordinates purchasing/SQM input for material in development phase
- Responsible to control the sourcing process for selection of supplier
- Requests for quotations, Adherence to supplier and material strategies
- Supports final negotiations in conjunction with Category Purchasing
- Cost tracking and Cost Reduction Programs (CRP) for segment’s products after SOP
- Re-design to cost / CRP program, Cost tracking for selected series products
- Responsible to establish component roadmap based on segments technology roadmap
- Interface to Business Unit / Segment functions like Engineering, Target Costing, Program Management, Plant functions and others
Requirements for the employee

University education (Master's degree)
Educational Specialization
Industrial Engineering, Economics, Manufacturing Engineering or comparable with Master Degree
Language skills
English - Advanced (C1)
Personality requirements and skills
- At least 5 years of experience in various purchasing or project management functions
- Capable to negotiate prices with worldwide supply base as well as to communicate with international teams
- English - business fluent (written and spoken)
- Intercultural competences and first experiences in an international business environment
- Independent, structured and analytical way of working, good communication skills, willingness to travel, assertiveness, team spirit and drive, flexibility
