Outside Sales Representative (m/f)

Your responsibilities:
  • Engage, manage and develop CMA CGM’s customer portfolio of high-touch and medium-touch customers as defined by customer segmentation and in line with company goals and directives
  • Service customers to meet their shipping needs and to secure optimal support in terms of revenues and volumes, including soliciting maximum profitable business from existing, lost and new customers
  • Achieve set sales budgets and targets
  • Manage existing accounts and negotiations primarily through physical sales visits, but also through phone and written communication
  • Convince new accounts to give their support to CMA CGM that meets directives and objectives as determined by Trades, Management, Sales Manager and Country Head of Commercial
  • Have an account plan, prioritization or segmentation to ensure efforts are optimised for the right value customers, both current and prospects
  • Negotiate rates that are favourable to both CMA CGM and customers
  • Conduct market intelligence and external lead generation activities
  • Manage internal negotiations with Trades
  • Plan weekly sales itinerary and update sales calls and visits as well as results through SAP CRM system
  • Plan contract negotiations and proactively seek strategy updated from Trades
  • Handle and accomplish goals on project basis as assigned by Management, Country Head of Commercial and Head of Sales or Sales Manager
  • If acting as the designated country contact for a key account, strive to achieve their targeted SLAs through continuous collaboration with Trades, Operations and Finance
You bring aboard:
  • Several years‘ experience within the shipping or logistic industry
  • Ideally first experience in outside sales activities
  • Experience in building relationships and networks
  • MS Office knowledge
  • Fluency in English
  • Good judgment and decision-making abilities
  • Functional and technical skills
  • Strong communication skills and customer orientation
