We are looking for a Cash Application Accountant for our OTC department. OTC (Order to Cash) department`s responsibility covers all processes related to receiving, processing and fulfilling customer`s requests for goods or services. The department is continuously working on improvements and process enhancements to fulfill our customer`s requirements in highest quality to ensure customer satisfaction.

What your tasks would be?
• Daily allocation of incoming payments
• Comparison of payment details with open receivables booked on customer account
• Research, analyze and resolve payment discrepancies
• Cooperation with banks and other finance departments
• Preparation and processing of manual journal entries
• Proactive approach in resolution of unapplied cash – support of collection process
• Month end close activities
• Reconciliation of AR related accounts
• Preparation of regular monthly and ad hoc reports
• Active leading of process enhancements
• Cash application related projects participation
• Active communication with internal customers and business units in order to ensure smooth cash allocation process
• Monthly preparation of Sarbanes-Oxley controls (SOX)
• Support auditor’s requests

What knowledge and skills are we looking for?
• Degree in business administration or adequate professional experience focusing on Finance/Accounting
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the finance
• SAP experience is an advantage
• Understanding of corporate/company high-level structure
• Understanding of Clarios business portfolio, business strategy and high-level understanding of quarter results
• Understanding of the process implications to financial statements
• Ability to identify your needs and be able to speak up
• Participation on a training material preparation
• Understand SOX controls and be a part of the control environment
• Ability to prepare required analysis
• Ability to make a linkage between various finance processes
• Understanding the full process behind activities to other teams and departments
