We are Clarios Slovakia and we power our state-of-art energy storage solutions. We are looking for an Accountant to joint our Procure to pay team.

Are you interested what your tasks will be?
• Acts timely and accurately as Business Partner on any requests from external and internal parties, while having exposure to other either team’s processes as possible backup or company management.
• Provides support for internal and external auditors.
• Understands consequences of processes in his/her scope.
• Follows up on issues related to Accounts Payable area.
• Daily posting of invoices.
• Research and resolution of payment discrepancies.
• Month End Close activities.
• Preparing of ad hoc reports and status updates.
• Carry-out payments.
• Reconciles Accounts Payable balances with vendors.
• Aged items resolution on vendor subledgers.
• Maintains strong customer relationships, provides qualified customer support

What kind of qualities and energy are we looking for?
• Business education degree or adequate professional experience focusing on Finance/Accounting/Controlling.
• Understanding of accounting principles and understanding of corporate/company structure. Understanding of the process implications to financial statements.
• Processing of journal entries according to internal policies. Act as support for team members. Ability to validate mathematical accuracy and supporting documentation attached and ability to explain.
• Understanding the full process behind activities and dependencies to other teams and departments, supporting agile environment.
• Understanding of Clarios business portfolio, understanding the business strategy and high-level understanding of quarter results.
• Participation on the Clarios team further development, sharing experience. Identifying training needs, participation on training material preparation.
• Understanding of the team processes, after probation period and ramp-up. Able to make a linkage between various finance processes.
• Be able to support senior team members with analysis.
• Understanding of internal controls related to department and be in line with internal controls. Support internal and external auditor's requests.
• Be able to support the implementation and execution of SOX controls. Understanding SOX controls and be a part of the control environment.
• Cross-departmental communication, Client centric view in daily activities, ability to professionally write emails, relevant English for conf. calls and meetings. Proactive approaching senior members for advice.
• MS-Office (MS Excel – advanced – tables, charts, formulas, pivot tables, MS Outlook).
• ERP experience (e.g. SAP)

We are looking for a person with drive to learn things. This role requires communication on a daily basis therefore high level of empathy is a nice plus :)

The starting salary is at min 1 300 EUR/month gross for candidates who meet our minimum criteria.
This role requires to work 25% US Time.

• Working patterns for US shift are 13:30 – 22:00 (Mon – Friday)
• There are extra benefits for employees covering US time:
• 30% hourly bonus for every complete shift worked US time
