Job description, responsibilities and duties

Responsibilities and duties:
• Process, monitor, and track payment requests, accounting documents, invoices, and travel expense reports.
• Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements and logistics.
• Support with logistics and organization of events and meetings.
• Assist with short-term research to support CIPE’s programs in anti-corruption, corrosive and constructive capital, women’s economic empowerment, entrepreneurship, business association capacity building, and other focus areas.
• Update and maintain resource materials for the team and internal database.
• Ad hoc administrative support.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Europe team.
• Adhere to appropriate CIPE and NED policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements:
• University students in the field of International Relations, • Political Science, Economics, Area Studies or a similar field are encouraged to apply.
• Fluency in professional written and spoken English and Slovak/Czech a requirement; Knowledge of other regional languages a plus.
• Knowledge of MS Office tools (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
• Very good communication and organizational skills.
• Strong research, analytical and writing skills.
• Self-motivated and independent.
• Passion for international development, democracy strengthening, transparency, cross-sectoral cooperation

The Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) strengthens democracy around the globe through private enterprise and market-oriented reform. CIPE is one of the four core institutes of the National Endowment for Democracy and an affiliate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Since 1983, CIPE has worked with business leaders, policymakers, and civil society to build the institutions vital to a democratic society. CIPE’s key program areas include enterprise ecosystems, democratic governance, business advocacy, anti-corruption & ethics, and trade.

CIPE maintains a regional Europe office in Bratislava, Slovakia focusing on anti-corruption and good governance, business association capacity development, business advocacy, public-private dialogue, corrosive and constructive capital, women’s economic empowerment, and democratic governance of technologies. CIPE projects are implemented in collaboration with local partners such as chambers of commerce, business associations, economic think tanks, entrepreneurs, and journalists.
