What will you do?
As a Salesforce Engineer you will perform implementation, regular problem solving, maintenance and support for a agile software development and you will also be:
- Designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications for target system using agile methods.
- Acquiring client requirements; resolving workflow problems through automation optimization.
- Writing source codes for new applications, and/or generating and enhancing code samples for existing applications.
- Competent to perform all programming, project management, and development assignments without close supervision; normally assigned the more complex aspects of systems work.
- Drives application development focused around delivering business valuable features
- Maintains high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits
- Identifies and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team
- Communicate with end users and internal customers to help direct development, debugging, and testing of application software for accuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completeness
- Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.
This position works directly with Slovakia based engineering leadership and Cat Digital IT in the US.

Personality requirements and skills
- Software Development: Knowledge of software development tools and activities; ability to produce software products or systems in line with product requirements.
- Software Development Life Cycle: Knowledge of software development life cycle; ability to use a structured methodology for delivering and managing new or enhanced software products to the marketplace.
- Experience or education in a related field.
- Certified Salesforce Admin and / or Certified Salesforce Platform developer 1
- Strong analytical, designing and programming skills
Proven experience with the following,
- Developing, deploying and maintaining software at scale.
- Developing software applications using relational and Nosql databases.
- Application architectural patterns, such as MVC, Microservices, Event-driven, etc.
- CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GoCD, Azure Devops etc.
- Public clouds such as AWS or Azure.
- Working within an Agile framework (ideally Scrum)
- Passion for technology and an eagerness to contribute to a team-oriented environment
