We are seeking talented individuals to join our team to help us establish and grow our presence, organization, culture, which will drive our digital product development efforts. What will you do?
As the Lead Frontend Engineer - Web at Cat Digital's new Slovakian branch, you will have the opportunity to build Caterpillar’s digital products and contribute to design, testing and deployment of our tools and applications as well as:

  • Perform development assignments and programming tasks.
  • Work on complex projects, application systems and infrastructure components, providing problem identification and resolution.
  • Independently work on business valuable features.
  • Maintain high quality standards of software.
  • Identify areas of growth within the team.
  • Mentor and help more junior engineers and provide them guidance in creating structured application/interface code, new documentation and guides.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in IT development.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other departments.

This position works directly with Slovakia based engineering leadership and Cat Digital IT in the US.

  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Software Development: Knowledge of software development tools and activities; ability to produce software products or systems in line with product requirements.
  • Software Development Life Cycle: Knowledge of software development life cycle; ability to use a structured methodology for delivering and managing new or enhanced software products to the marketplace.
  • Ability to work autonomously and asynchronously.
  • Professional experience with Angular JS framework & Typescript.
  • Demonstrated experience with HTML 5 & CSS 3.
  • Proven technical leadership experience.
  • Solid understanding and innovative approach to development best practices and state of the art quality.

Top Candidates will also have:
  • Working experience with agile development.
  • Experience with release and deployment supervision.
  • Proven experience with AWS and/or Azure
