Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

  • Coordination and initiation of the acceptance of concepts (migration concepts, not solution concepts from the presales phase) and the project planning by the client (project goals and implementation path)
  • Establishment of the project organization and coordination and control of the subprojects
  • PM supports PMO in selecting project team members
  • Technical leadership of the subproject managers (TPL), solution consultant (SOC) and solution architect (SOA)
  • Ongoing risk management, operational resource management (incl. coordination of leave requests for planned resources and activities within the project TPL, PME etc. with the resource managers, project controlling, quality management for the project (support by PMO)
  • Request and evaluation of target, schedule and budget changes (RFC)
  • Ensuring project documentation (accountability and responsibility)
  • Preparation of status reports of the responsible projects and execution of project review meetings to present and evaluate the delivery and performance quality as well as to determine and ensure the customer satisfaction
  • Updating of the overall project plan
  • Inform (project marketing) the involved stakeholders about the project status
  • Coordination of escalations with the departments and own team management
  • Handover interface in projects when transferring services to operational IT to service and operation management

Personality requirements and skills

  • Technical and/or commercial training, e.g. IT specialist or IT systems clerk or studies in the field of business informatics or similar
  • 2 – 5 years of experience in project management in the IT service industry
  • Prince2, IPMA or comparable certifications are a plus
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office and relevant project management tools
  • Experience in dealing with customers and excellent communication skills
  • Target-, process- and team-oriented way of working
  • Very good written and spoken German and good English skills
