Job description, responsibilities and duties

Are you a talented MATLAB / Simulink modeling and simulation engineer? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join dynamic development in Košice as part of our Model Based Simulation team within the Systems Engineering department. Team works with cutting-edge CAE software tools like Ansys, Simcenter3D, Altair HyperWorks, Star CCM+, and MATLAB/Simulink on a daily basis. Your main focus will be on modeling and simulating electro-mechanical systems using Simulink. Imagine being involved in developing electric drives and electronic boards for renowned home appliance brands such as Bosch, Siemens, Neff, Gaggenau, Thermador, Profilo or Constructa. Take your career to the next level and join us in shaping the future of our industry!

Job description, tasks and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects involving the modeling of electro-mechanical systems. This includes creating models for electric drives, inverter modules, and parametrizing motor control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink. You will also have access to a motor control library, allowing you to utilize pre-existing algorithms. Additionally, you will be responsible for integrating various FMUs and LUTs into the simulation environment.

Validation of simulation models based on measurement data will be a key part of your role, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the models. You will also have the chance to utilize Rapid Control Prototyping and HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) systems, such as dSpace and Speedgoat, which are available for your use. This will allow you to support the running of new motor prototypes in the laboratory.

As part of your responsibilities, you will predict the behavior of components, modules, or products under different load cases using models. You will also conduct follow-up simulations to meet target requirements and develop best practices for the usage of simulation tools. Optimization strategies suitable for target performance will be developed, and you will undertake root-cause analysis of any related issues to identify risks and devise appropriate changes or alternative designs.

Collaboration will be an important aspect of your role, as you will work closely with engineers, project leaders, and other cross-functional partners in international team with opportunity to travel abroad. You will present and discuss solutions, provide engineering guidance, and make recommendations to resolve product issues and meet requirements. Additionally, having knowledge of C language and/or Python will be an additional advantage in this role.
