Job description, responsibilities and duties
We are currently looking for a Material Compliance Officer to be a part of our development team on drives & electronics department in Košice or Michalovce.
The Material Compliance Officer must have completed a technical or scientific degree and have a thorough understanding of product-related environmental protection and chemicals legislation. The Officer cooperates closely with the persons responsible for product release and approbation on material-related issues.

The Officer cooperates closely with the persons responsible for product release and approbation on material-related issues.

- organisation of product-related material compliance management within the field of responsibility
- contact person for all material-related environmental issues (drives & electronics)
- monitoring of relevant legislation
RoHS Compliance
- working towards to compile the technical documentation according to EN50581
- monitoring and evaluation of RoHS declaration data
- coordination of sampling analyses
- authorisation for all functions of the RoHS/REACH SVHC declaration system
- cooperation with the responsible persons for approbation
Guidance and controlling
- monitoring and evaluation of REACH SVHC declaration data
- specialist support of phase-out procedures of hazardous substances
- coordination of legal information duties and chemicals-related requests
- setting up appropriate methods for complying with information duties of OEM and imported products
- monitoring and evaluation of substance restrictions
- information on hazardous substances issues related to products
Tasks:
- as a material compliance officer, you ensure compliance with the legal national and international product and material requirements based on European guidelines, national legislation and relevant standards
- you support and take pleasure in all necessary company activities regarding the legal regulations to be fulfilled
- you develop systematics and processes
- working on material database procurement with regard to material compliance (guidelines) and support in setting up a corresponding material database are a matter of course for you
- you are the first point of contact / interface for material inquiries from other departments
- you evaluate the data sheets received regarding prohibited and declarable substances according to legal and customer-specific requirements
