Job description, responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Automation R&D Project Manager you will be responsible for designing and manufacture of automated production lines for recycling processes
You will get involved with a wide variety of work including:
• DESIGN - Mechanical Design of components and systems used in the development of Automated production lines producing consumer electronics goods.
• 3D Cad Design - Use of Solid Edge 3D CAD for design of complex systems / assemblies.
• 2D CAD - Preparation of 2D drawings for in-house manufacture of components.
• Programming of XYZ milling machines to produce components
• Design of 3D printed components
• The building and commissioning of new in house manufactured automated production lines including set up and ongoing support in collaboration with the Maintenance and Technical Engineers.

Personality requirements and skills
You will have completed a Mechanical Engineering or similar degree and have an interest in system / mechanical assembly design. Ideally you will have good experience of using 3D CAD but full training on Solid Edge will be provided in our UK facility. You will also need to be a proactive problem solver with an analytical approach. We want a team worker who is a dedicated and tenacious with an ability to quickly learn new concepts and take ownership of tasks. There is a possiblity to spend an extended period of up to 3 months in the UK parent company for training and support at key project transfer stages. Spoken and written English to a good level is required.
