Cluster ICT Manager 80% (Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia)
The British Council in Central Europe is looking for the Cluster ICT Manager who will work alongside Global Information Services (GIS), Global Service Desk (GSD) and the cluster leadership team to ensure that country ICT services meet needs for current and future operations. GIS will maintain the corporate network and own global policy, and GSD will provide first line and further support. The postholder will ensure that local ICT systems work to the satisfaction of users, manage the maintenance and updating of local hardware and systems, provide expertise and strategic advice in the area of ICT, and will support elevated users in the cluster (Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia).
The post will be based in the country the successful candidate is recruited from. Also, G grade salary will be paid at the rate of the appointing country.
The competencies, skills and knowledge we require for this part time (80%) definite job are:
- Computer skills (level 3)
- Project and Contract Management (level 3)
- Proven previous experience of management of IT systems
- Communication skills in English (CEF level C1 or above)
- Proven previous experience of managing services in more than one country
- ICT related degree or equivalent qualification
The starting date for this position is 01 February 2018 or as soon as possible after and the contract is part-time (80%), for a definite period of one year, initially.
