Technical Leader - Robotics Solution Engineer

About this role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical leader to join our Robotic Solution Engineering Team. In this role, you will be responsible for creation, optimization and simulation of solutions that define mobile robot paths in warehouse automation. This also includes collaboration with Sales engineers, Operation and Product team to align customer requirements. You will participate in onsite commissioning of new projects at customer sites, this will include cooperation of other teams to ensure that robots are correctly configured and integrated with the warehouse management system.

Core responsibilities:

Technical Leadership

• Drive initiatives proactively to support our customers.
• Propose and implement new improvements.
• Collaborate with development and product teams to enhance processes.
• Guide your team through intricate technical challenges.

Solution Creation and Optimization:

• Design and develop efficient solutions for mobile robots used in warehouse automation.
• Create and optimize solutions for simulation purposes and performance
• Utilize software tools to create, optimize and maintain solutions to ensure smooth and efficient operation for production and test environments.

Robot Deployment:

• Oversee the deployment of mobile robots in customer warehouses.
• With cooperation of the Integration team ensure that robots are correctly configured and integrated with the warehouse management system.

Onsite Commissioning:

• Participate in the onsite commissioning of new projects at customer premises in Europe and North America
• Conduct tests and adjustments to ensure the robots operate correctly within the warehouse environment.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for any issues that arise during the commissioning phase and ongoing operations.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Design, propose and optimize solutions with the cooperation of sales and project engineers
• Handle and resolve complex technical issues escalated from Level 1 (L1) support,Technical consultants, and from the customer.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems related to Brightpick products.

Continuous Improvement:

• Collect feedback from onsite operations to identify areas for improvement in robot performance and path efficiency.
• Suggest and implement improvements based on customer feedback and operational data.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure all robot deployments comply with safety standards and regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to protect personnel and equipment.

Training and Development:

• Participate in ongoing training sessions to improve technical skills and product knowledge.
• Assist in training L1 support team members and others on new products and technologies.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Document all support interactions and resolutions in the CRM systems (Jira, Google WorkSpace).
• Maintain and update technical documentation and knowledge base articles.

Requirements:

• Strong technical background
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems efficiently, applying logical thinking and attention to detail
• Proven ability to work effectively with colleagues from various departments, including L1, L3, product teams, R&D, and service technicians
• Plan and coordinate with internal teams during the deployment of new system updates to ensure smooth implementation
• Ability to provide feedback and suggest improvements
• Respect project deadlines
• Willingness to travel to customer sites
• Strong interpersonal skills for working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and customers
• Nice to know CMR systems (e.g. Jira, Google Workspace) for documenting and tracking cases, Git, python
• Fluent in Slovak and English
• Active driving license
