Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

The Payment Specialist will be responsible to ensure SEPA and domestic payments operations (payments processing, claims/queries handling, other parties/banks/internal requirements handling)

Main function or roles of the job are:
•Processing of the incoming payments booked on suspense account
•Processing of the client claims /queries related to the payments
•Processing of the other banks payments-related requirements (investigations, requests for assistance, requests for cancellation etc )
•Processing of the third parties (state authorities) requests / queries
•Handling of rejected payments (clearing, PASS, CORE 24)
•Handling of items booked to payments internal accounts
•Handling of incorrectly processed transactions (trx erroneously processed due to bank mistake)
•Cooperation with CIB Paris (daily business issues solving, process improvement)
•Cooperation with internal departments (daily business, issues solving, queries)
•Cooperation with Fraud/AML/Compliance department regarding suspect payments
•Cooperation with Accounting section by solving the settlement discrepancies
•Daily check of the processing (all items processed), mailbox handling
•Clearing invoices check, eventually rebooking of the items to the client
•Cases record and archiving
•Participation in processes changes set-up and improvement (legal, business own initiative)
•Perform other tasks within a defined area as assigned by Head of the unit

Personality requirements and skills

•University degree or similar
•Payments experience (at least 3 years) banking experience
•English – written and spoken business communication
•PC – MS Office, MS Outlook
•Good communication skills (both written and spoken)
