Job description, responsibilities and duties
The role is part of the Global Supply Chain and the team is composed of 5 team members taking care of all exports out of France.
What You’ll Do:
-Coordinating the organization of the transport between the production site or warehouse, BIC organization (Supply Planning / Factory planning, Overseas Subsidiaries, Customs Coordinators, BIC Factories & BIC suppliers), freight forwarder, 3PL, carriers, custom broker, and destination site to ensure smooth and on-time operations;
-Provide all required transport & customs related documents (invoice, packing list, COO, Export declaration, letter of credit…);
-Follow up the in-transit with the Freight Forwarder, support the day-to-day operational issues;
-Review processes and improve standards to generate higher quality and efficiency in operations, always with the customer value added in mind;
-Support local import logistic team and ensure business continuity of import activity (operation, process, and system knowledge).
-Provide support to other logistic operations teams to support the peak of activities, projects, and workload balancing among the local team.
What You’ll Bring To BIC:
-At least 1-2 years experience in Logistics, international transportation (import/export flows ), or customs administration;
- Experience in Sea transportation within a carrier/broker company or industry logistics;
-Extended knowledge in MS Excel;
-English mandatory and French advantage;
-A university degree in Transport and customs field is considered an advantage;
-Nice to have: Knowledge of Prodouane, Easylog, Power BI, and JDE
-Rigorous and organized;
-Reactive, solution, and detail-oriented.
