Job description, responsibilities and duties

BIC has in Slovakia (Sered) European Packaging Centre and Central-Eastern Europe Distribution Centre, packing significant part of BIC EU sales and distributing up to 40 countries. We are looking for Import-Export & Customs Coordinator to join local Logistic Operations team in Sered to help us with the coordination of door to door transportation with various players: OEM’s, Supply planners, Plants, Carriers&Freight Forwarders, Customs Brokers, BIC subs, Warehouses.
Responsibilities/tasks:
• Transport organization by Sea, Air and Road
• Shipment Follow Up – tracking + costs + lead time + claim management
• Control and approval of supplier invoices
• Dashboard Data Capture regarding Cost and Service Monitoring
• Customs Documents management
• Customs clearance via Brokers monitoring
• Follow KPI’s reporting
• Monitor performance of carriers
• Communication with plants, countries, supply planning
• Ensure product availability as per shipment plan and Category requirements

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• Fluent English is must (written/spoken), French is an big advantage
• Secondary school graduate with leaving exam or University (International transport, Customs Declaration or International Supply Chain is advantage)
• 2 years in logistic coordination function (experience with Sea/Air/Road Freight, Import, Customs Clearance via Customs Broker)
• Computer skills – Microsoft Office, Excel pivot tables
• Travel within Europe – up to around 4 times / year
• organized, accurate and responsible
• good communication and listening skills
• analytical thinking (performance and cost oriented analysis)
• pro-active approach
• ability to work in multicultural environment
