Information about the position

What will you be in charge of?

* We are looking for someone who is experienced in working directly with suppliers in China and shipping containers.

  • Timely provision of the required quantity of products from China based on sales budget and forecast,
  • Active communication with the logistics companies, freight forwarders to determine the most suitable, efficient and economical routes to ensure timeliness of the right product
  • Stockpiling the required number of products with regard to sales and cost strategy
  • Responsibility for the selection, composition and final price of the ordered goods and services.
  • Monitoring of the market, current trends and competitive activities.
  • Independent negotiation of conditions associated with contracts.
  • Escalation management process design solution of individual escalations at the supplier

Reporting:

  • Advanced excel expertise.
  • Daily communication and maintaining contact with supply chain members who have an impact on purchase goals.
  • Cross functional collaboration with finance, brand, merchandising and executive departments to meet operational requirements.

  • Experience specifically with the China to US route since our Purchasing person needs to get creative with routing as well due to all of the past and perhaps upcoming bottlenecks, new ports of entry, new rules, etc..
  • Experience in negotiations with Freight forwarders
  • Experience with Amazon Global Logistics welcome
