Job description, responsibilities and duties
Come and help improve Public Health in Slovakia! How? By building advocacy from national level stakeholders for the inclusion of newly vaccine-preventable diseases in local guidelines and the National Immunization Plan, with an initial focus on RSV and shingles.
For our new EL PHARMA company /PHOENIX group/ you will do:
• In partnership with local market access and CGA, provide scientific support, and communicate the unmet medical need and value of our vaccines to the appropriate stakeholders.
• Create and implement strategic local medical activities plan to achieve these objectives, including scientific communications and advice seeking based on local need, in close collaboration with partner and other relevant internal cross-functional teams.
• Therapy area medical lead for vaccines in Slovakia. Principal medical contact for external stakeholders such as physicians, public health government stakeholders, payors, pharmacists and patient organizations in relation to partner’s vaccine portfolio. As such, provide non-promotional, medical support for external stakeholders that helps to ensure the safe and effective use of partner’s vaccine portfolio in Slovakia.
• Ensure that they are at all times aware of the latest medical, regulatory and scientific insights through appropriate scientific exchange with external experts, attendance at key scientific meetings, literature review, and participation in internal/partner’s cross-functional teams meetings and trainings. Have a strong command of the data and value proposition of the vaccines in scope.
• Ensure that non-promotional activities and materials are implemented in a manner that is compliant with partner’s Code of Practice, the associated written standards (including ABAC) and applicable local laws and regulations (including local laws and regulations).

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
Mandatory:
• Experience in medical affairs in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Knowledge in basic medical science and vaccination disease area
• Knowledge of clinical development processes, statistics and the pharmaceutical industry
• Knowledge of recommendation process at a local level.
• Experience in building peer-to-peer relationships with National Stakeholders who may include Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), healthcare organizations/scientific societies, Patient Advisory Groups, Policy Makers & Payors.
• In-depth knowledge of local codes and regulations regulating the pharmaceutical industry and evidence of applying them correctly.
• Respond to unsolicited requests for on or off-label information or safety concerns from HCPs.
Preferable:
• Broader experience outside of medical affairs as well demonstrating strong business acumen.
• Previous experience of driving a new vaccine asset from launch to NIP recommendation.
• Existing knowledge of the process for new vaccines review and recommendation in the country
• Existing relationships with the key stakeholders in this process
• Evidence of partnering with Market Access and CGA to achieve success.
• Chair, facilitate and present as a vaccine’s expert in meetings/seminars
