Regional Supply Chain Manager EMEA Purpose of the job:
  • Translate the global Supply Chain (SC) strategy into a regional supply chain strategy and deploy and implement this in the region, ensuring required customer service levels and balancing cost and cash.
  • Guarantee SC environmental, social, economical sustainability for the region.
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of the regional supply chain resources and activities with respect to service, cost, and investment, and for developing and executing appropriate tactics to ensure performance targets are achieved.
Job description:

Regional Strategic Supply Chain

  • Participate in the development of the supply chain strategy for the business platform.
  • Key contributor to S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning.
  • Drive the digital agenda for EMEA Supply Chain inc. tools.
  • Responsible for regional PS&OP (Profit Sales and Operations Planning):
    • Lead and coordinates regional (P)S&OP process, strongly engaging and involving SC stakeholders and business stakeholders (Sales, Finance, …) in the process and meetings.
    • Coach (P)S&OP team members on (P)S&OP process objectives.
    • Prepares scenario, cost/profitability impact as input to the regional (P)S&OP meetings.
    • Support the global (P)S&OP meetings and decision process and ensure robust decision making process based on profitability and company strategy.
    • Ensure execution of resulting actions agreed during the regional (P)S&OP meetings and escalate issues to global when required.

Tactical supply chain

  • For regional business components (e.g. regional accounts and regional managed product portfolio) and inter- and intracompany flows and consolidation:
    • Coordinate regional/local supply chain execution processes and escalate key changes and assumptions.
    • Implement best practices in supply chain planning and other optimizations in order to grow the business in his/her region.
    • Develop and improve relationship and collaboration with customers with a regional market focus.
    • Implement a system to monitor and report performance to customers.
    • Work with marketing and sales to define the service levels for all customers in the region.
  • Responsible for OTD & Service Level in the region & towards other regions:
    • Interface to regional sales and make sure we do not over- or undersell.
    • Interface to other regions RSCM and make sure agreed quantities are ordered/delivered.
    • Interface to factories for follow-up execution of contracts.
    • Monitor whether factories produce as to commitment.
  • Monitors all regulations as to import/export in his region.
  • Responsible for optimization of regional logistic flows both in cost and efficiency.
  • Key contributor in worldwide logistic set-up.
  • Sourcing:
    • Responsible for Call-Off of wire rod & all other raw materials.
    • Responsible for Inventories (Raw materials, Half Products & Finished Goods).
    • Strong link with local purchasing.

Sustainability

  • Responsible for sustainability related to the regional supply chain:
    • Align the regional supply chain to support the regional strategy in terms of sustainability.
    • Manage environmental, social and economic impacts, and good governance practices.
    • Make sure we get our spools, packaging, … back. Monitor & minimize loss, etc.
    • Decide what to do with returned products.
    • Balance the risks related to the regional supply chain, including mitigation.
    • Guarantee compliance with regional standards, regulations, law, etc.

Regional SC organization

  • Responsible for the regional organization & support of the global organizations:
    • Plan, develop, organize, direct, manage and evaluate the personnel, operations, and budget of the regional supply chain organization.
    • Develop annual regional plans with prioritization and resourcing.
    • Follow up on supply chain execution team metrics and reporting.
  • Coordinate regional/local supply chain execution processes and escalate key changes and assumptions.

Personality requirements and skills

Profile
  • University Master’s Degree (business administration) or equivalent through experience.
  • >5 years relevant work experience.
  • >2 years exposure in driving S&OP.
  • Has a production background and/or likes being in production environments.
  • Supply chain - APICS certification.
  • Basic knowledge on SC planning & execution and reporting systems (existing and new systems available in the market)
  • Digital experience of S&OP tools, rollout, and optimization.
  • Understanding of all supply chain processes and deep knowledge of strategical and tactical supply chain processes.
  • Understanding of company planning processes: sales, financial planning, etc., the main market trends and demand drivers.
  • Knowledge on the main capacity constraints and supply drivers & the company strategy.
  • You have a strategic and analytical mindset, a holistic approach to decision making, and end to end process management knowledge.
  • You are a strong communicator, organizer and coach who’s value-driven and result focused with the ability to influence across departments.
  • Is already recognized as a leader, is well networked in the regional organization.
  • Good level of English (writing, reading, speaking and listening).
