Job description, responsibilities and duties
• Your main responsibility will be installing and maintaining a server park for on-line monitoring of production processes in our plants worldwide
• You will configure state-of-the-art Data logging, SCADA and MES systems
• You will assist team members in automation group with technologies like networks, embedded systems
• You will also be responsible for maintaining standard PC software environment for engineers in automation group

Personality requirements and skills
• You have a Master degree in Computer Software Engineering or Automation Technology
• You posess knowledge of:
- Installing/Administrating Microsoft server operating systems, VmWare (ESX), Linux
- Computer networks, V-LAN, Firewall, ....
- Programming languages like C, C++, Java, VB, vba (Microsoft office excel)
- Installing/Administrating Databases and writing SQL queries
• You are willing to acquire knowledge of:
- OPC, SCADA and MES systems
- Programmable logic controllers
- Industrial networks like CANopen, DeviceNet, Ethernet I/P, profibus
- Embedded systems
• You are creative, result-oriented and demonstrate hands-on problem solving skills
• You are eager to lift your knowledge to the state-of-the-art in your domain and are willing to share this knowledge within the team
• You are entrepreneurial, flexible and service-minded
• You like to work in a team
• You have an excellent knowledge of English language. Other languages are an asset.
• You are prepared to spend short periods abroad at regular intervals
