Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
• Supervising the Strategic Sourcing team in Zlate Moravce (4 employees)
• Assuming responsibility for certain material groups and services
• Study market trends, evaluate suppliers, and recommend sources of supply. Provide strategic insight on commodity trends and any required actions.
• Identify key supplier performance issues and facilitate the utilization of Altra Business System tools as appropriate to achieve business goals.
• Develop strategy for optimization of the supply chain and work with global and local sourcing teams to execute the strategy. Develop and implement process improvement in sourcing methods.
• Will determine appropriate procurement methods; will negotiate, and implement supplier agreements which support quality, delivery, and cost requirements.
• Manage and develop existing suppliers through performance feedback and implementation of corrective actions when needed.
• Maintain and develop appropriate KPI systems
• Assuming responsibility for certain material groups and services
