Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

The factory director will supervise the daily operations of the five major operating departments of the factory, specifically managing the information department, logistics department, manufacturing department, engineering department, and quality department to ensure the achievement of cost, safety, quality, delivery and other indicators.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Preside over the operation and management of subsidiaries, undertake the strategic goals of the group's operation center, and decompose internal management indicators;
  • Plan, organize, direct and run optimal day-to-day operations to exceed customer expectations;
  • Oversee all day-to-day operations of the facility from planning to manufacturing shipments ensuring policies and procedures are followed;
  • Develop systems and processes to track and optimize productivity as well as standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets;
  • Increase production, asset capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards;
  • Coordinate the resources of the factory and the group, implement product process research, lean production, talent echelon training, team building, organizational management, etc., and produce the best results;
  • Resolve employee problems or grievances and administer collective bargaining agreements;
  • Responsible for factory KPIs, management reporting and continuous improvement of delivery, cost, quality and safety;
  • Responsible for output, product quality and on-time delivery;

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

  • Graduates from relevant departments of the university, master's degree is preferred. Can I add some science and engineering majors in mechanics or mechatronics? I don't want business management. Those with a background in business administration and other majors are preferred;
  • 10 years of working experience in the same position in an auto parts manufacturing company with at least 200 employees, quality or wiring harness factory management background is preferred;
  • Understand the latest production management best practices and concepts;
  • Have excellent strategic planning capabilities and foresight, pay attention to the construction of talent echelon, and have group enterprise operation and management capabilities;
  • Have excellent planning, organization, command, coordination and overall planning capabilities, and strong execution ability;
  • Must have experience successfully leading operations, field service and/or plant maintenance functions. Have experience working as a Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive supplier
  • Strong understanding of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources);
  • Requires manufacturing engineering, operations, lean methodologies (5s, Value Stream Management (VSM), vision, standards work, etc.), continuous improvement (quality), financial understanding and a reasonable level of technical product knowledge;
  • Familiar with IATF16949, ISO 14001, and VDA6.3;
  • Understand safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, logistics and IT management processes.
  • Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment .
  • Proficient in English, the company will provide  Chinese language teaching
  • Familiarity with and understanding of multiple ERP systems
