Senior Purchasing Expert

We are seeking a Senior Purchasing Expert to join our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to tasks, strong analytical skills, and a logical mindset. This role requires close collaboration with internal departments, as well as external partners, to ensure the efficient procurement of raw materials and the optimization of material flow.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate and execute all activities related to raw material procurement, maintaining and developing a multiple-source strategy.
• Track production plans to material requirements to ensure material availability and mitigate supply chain disruptions.
• Communicate closely with internal departments including production, logistics, quality, and product development.
• Collaborate with external partners to optimize material flow and maintain daily stock levels.
• Expedite and follow up on deliveries of materials, supplies, and services to meet required purchase order due dates.
• Process material rejects for return, replacement, and appropriate credit.
• Execute the raw material sample REQ process and maintain supplier data.
• Identify and develop strategic supply sources for assigned raw materials, managing relationships with all suppliers and optimizing their performance.
• Develop and execute comprehensive RFQ processes, gathering and analyzing supplier quotes to make recommendations for supplier selection.
• Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers, including piece price, tooling, payment terms, and savings, aiming for year-over-year savings and commercial contracts.
• Develop and execute strategies for assigned materials, supporting the Purchasing Manager in building an appropriate supplier base.
