Job description, responsibilities and duties

We’re looking for a Commercial Director who will be ultimately responsible for leading the Sales, Logistics, and Procurement departments, development of global business opportunities, revenue generation, and the end-to-end customer lifecycle. You will be reporting to CEO and be part of the executive leadership team. Your role will significantly impact the company's success by navigating the business on its exciting growth journey and successfully managing scale, and the challenges this represents, and be instrumental in growing the business’ revenue.

PRIMARY ROLE & JOB ESSENTIALS

I. Strategy development and execution

• Working closely with the CEO and company leadership to determine overall company strategy.
• Developing a long-range course of action or set of goals to ensure the successful realization of the organization’s vision.
• Ensuring the development of clear goals that align a unit’s efforts with the organization’s vision and strategic plan.
• Ensuring synergies between people, processes, and strategies to drive the execution of business objectives.
• Building and driving sustained revenue growth.
• Building strategic alliances both inside and outside the organization to create business opportunities and execute business strategies.

II. Business development and market growth

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Global area to expand the company's customer base and increase revenue.
• Develop and implement effective strategies to penetrate new markets and industries.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
• Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities for product diversification.
• Be responsible for translating the company strategy into the end-to-end commercial strategy to create a coherent revenue-generating function that delivers on the company’s growth targets.

III. Team Leadership and development

• Developing an organizational culture that leads to ongoing excellence and effective growth of the business while maintaining the highest integrity.
• Provide strategic guidance and leadership to the Sales, Logistics, and Procurement teams.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
• Set performance goals, conduct performance reviews, and provide coaching and mentorship to team members.
• Build a high-performing team by recruiting, training, and developing talent.

University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

• 10 + years of experience in a COO or Commercial role in automotive/industry business (preferably plastics)
• Excellent negotiation skills, ability to identify and develop international business opportunities
• Demonstrated leadership and complex organizational management skills
• Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, coaching, and interpersonal skills
• Good knowledge of the microenvironment variables that can impact the strategic management process (automotive/plastics manufacturing industry)
• Skill in creating a strong personal presence that commands attention and respect
• Willingness to travel and flexibility
