Product Development Engineer

Audia Plastics is a maker of plastic compounds for many different markets, including automotive, appliance, and a large range of consumer and industrial goods. We are looking for a Product Development Engineer, to be located in our manufacturing facility located near Voderady, Slovakia. You will become a part of product development engineering team, and join our skilled experts in the field of product formulations. We will train you and develop you to meet our mutual goals.

What does PDE really do?
In summary, PDE formulates and completes new match requests and maintains strong internal and external customer relationships and provides technical support.

Main responsibilities of PDE:

• Development of new product formulations.
• Understand customer and end-use application requirements.
• Sample production.
• Develops and completes new product formulations to meet match & sample targeted timelines.
• Interfaces with Innovation and Production to ensure any changes in pigment sources or suppliers do not affect the quality of their products.
• Evaluates new technology and its potential application in their product mix.
• Provides technical input to Manufacturing for production problems.
• Provides support to Production
• Follows formulation guidelines.
• Corrects formulas as necessary.
• Understands color science and formulation of color concentrate.

Technical degree in engineering, chemistry, physics, mathematics, or equivalent.

Self-starter & motivated.
Strong problem-solving, organizational and communication skills – written & verbal.
Skilled in the use of basic computer software – MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
