Senior Network Design Engineer

Provides the highest level of expertise and knowledge of a specific technology (depth of knowledge) or an end-to-end solution for a customer or service (breadth of knowledge across technologies). Serves as advisor regarding the resolution of technical, scientific or engineering issues that affect the sales, installation and utilization.
May conduct consulting engagements with AT&T customers to explore, assess and recommend solutions. May design specialized applications, design and configuration support for customer solutions. Provides proactive support to ensure overall service stability - which may include developing scripts/automated processes. AT&T's SME to internal teams as well as partners and customers across a technology, service or custom solution.
This Engineer will also be expected to be SME on the customer’s network and possibly be needed to go to a customer site to coordinate a refresh project working onsite with the customer and performing hyper-care.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Technical Design Engineer is responsible for managing LAN/WAN network for one or more AT&T clients. Creates Low Level Design (LLD) and deploys network solutions, performs network changes of medium and high complexity. Provide base configuration for various types of devices, supports LAN / WAN infrastructure and interacts with internal teams (MRS, MLAN and Firewall) and external partners (GLS, IBM and customer) to complete tasks.
Candidate will coordinate closely with vendors to resolve production problems and to ensure product quality. Should be able to solve complex technical problems, including those which require research and/or extensive analysis in order to resolve the problem.

Ideal candidate should have one of the following backgrounds: PIM, PM, Service Manager, Escalation Manager, System Engineer
Ideal candidate should possess one or more of the following certifications: CAPM, PMP, Prince2®, ITIL, CCNA or CCDA

Education and Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge in the area of networking and Cisco equipment configuration
Minimum entry externally recognized qualification for the Engineering role is CCNP level.

• Cisco LAN/WAN advanced skills is a must – 3rd and 4th level
• Design experience
• CCNP, CCIP, CCDP certification is preferred
• Customer focused, presentation skills; strong verbal and written English communication skills (Upper Intermediate level)

• Cisco Voice (CUCM)
• WAN optimization (Bluecoat)
• Firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto)
• DNS – Infoblox

Additional Information:
Working hours: 14:00 – 22:30 SK hours
All Engineers are expected to support customer migrations and changes in the evenings and at weekends if required, as requested by customer.

Salary: From 2120 € brutto per month. Actual salary is likely to be higher based on skills, knowledge and experience.
