Job description, responsibilities and duties

The Insurance expert will be responsible for the strategy, organization, supervision of the Insurance and Claims activities and support important new project within Operations department.

1. Setup insurance strategy of the portfolio;
2. Guarantee and document the legal and fiscal compliancy of all chosen insurance constructions offered to the customers;
3. Guarantee follow-up of the local and international insurance market as well as legal developments in insurance. Guarantee information feedback to whom it may concern (staff members, other Arval departments, customers)
4. Cooperation with another departments in order to organise the insurance and claim activities to optimise at the same time customer care, internal efficiency and insurance and claims cost ratios;
5. Prepare risk evaluations for the yearly premium review for the customers based on their loss history;
6. Develop and keep up to date internal procedures and process documentation;
6. Build up and maintain a good relationship with insurance companies and insurance intermediaries and design the corresponding SLA’s accordingly:
a. Negotiate premiums,
b. Negotiate the delegation level of insurance management;
7. Support the development of, and the negotiations with suppliers and supplier networks for accident repair;
8. Assist in developing new insurance products and define the organisation and processes needs generated by those new products;
9. Support the increase of insurance service penetration within the customers’ service package.
10. Support and advice all other Arval departments in relation to Insurance and Claims issues

University education (Master's degree)

Educational Specialization

- specialisation in Insurance, Graduate in insurance, Broker or equivalent through experience

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2) and Slovak - Proficiency (C2)

Microsoft Excel - advanced
Microsoft Word - advanced
Microsoft PowerPoint - advanced

Personality requirements and skills

  • Proven affinity with statistics and figures in general;
  • Proven experience with customer contact in a commercial environment;
  • Knowledge of Windows, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Knowledge of English is must;
  • Well organised, feeling for planning and able to work at their own initiative;
  • Strong analytic and synthetic skills;
  • Strong result and client driven approach;
  • Good negotiating skills;
  • Assertive oral and written communication skills;
