Job description, responsibilities and duties

  • Managing the Maintenance Department, supporting smooth running of production processes
  • Leading the Maintenance Team (Maintenance Supervisors, Maintenance Engineers and Maintenance Technicians)
  • Ensuring overall preventive and predictive maintenance of machinery and equipment
  • Being responsible for facility maintenance
  • Planning, implementing subcontracting, supervising and evaluation all maintenance activities
  • Ensuring compliance with the Code of Ethics and Management Code
  • Being responsible for achievement of key performance indicators in the assigned area
  • Participating in procurement of production equipment
  • Defining technical specifications of equipment in cooperation with the Manufacturing Engineering Department
  • Providing technical support for engineering change management process
  • Updating standards, job descriptions and work instructions in the entrusted area
  • Participating in set-up of plant layout in order to support launch of new products
  • Coordinating installation of new machines and equipment
  • Being responsible for administration of spare parts for machines and equipment
  • Having responsibility for the computer-supported maintenance management system
  • Ensuring compliance with HSE regulations
  • Managing maintenance costs and CAPEX of the plant
  • Planning, monitoring and coordinating work of external companies as regards quality, costs, delivery deadlines
  • Monitoring energy consumption in the plant (water, electricity, heat, gas, compressed air, LPG, etc.) and emission values, checking prices invoiced by external suppliers
  • Ensuring building maintenance, service inspections of the building's technological equipment - sprinkler system, air conditioning, cooling water, utility water, compressed air)
  • Carrying out regular safety inspections of the building and equipment, proposing improvements
  • Identifying purchasing needs and monitoring stock of material needed for facility and equipment maintenance
  • Supporting constant improvement of plant performance
  • Leading monthly information meetings of the Maintenance Department
  • Reporting directly to the Plant Manager
  • Acting as member of the Plant Management Committee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Personality requirements and skills

  • University or secondary education (preferred specialization in Industrial Engineering, Automotive Production, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience on a similar position in a manufacturing company (automotive production is preferred)
  • Demonstrable experience in managing of machine and equipment maintenance processes, with responsibility for leading maintenance staff
  • Knowledge of Kanban, 5S, TPM, 8D is welcome
  • Basic knowledge of financial management tools and processes (budgeting of OPEX and CAPEX, costs´ management)
  • Good overview of legislative standards related to machinery and equipment and facility operation
  • Active knowledge of English language
