Job description, responsibilities and duties

• Being responsible for procurement of MRO for the Group plants worldwide
• Pushing for consignment stock application in all locations
• Working with suppliers to improve the payment terms with Group companies
• Pushing to close long-term contracts (LTAs)
• Looking for supplier consolidation and footprint optimization
• Pushing innovative suppliers within the company
• Leading procurement activities in all phases, according to company purchase procedure and maintaining cost procurement files
• Evaluating bids and making recommendations based on cost, commercial and technical factors
• Negotiating and agreeing contracts and monitoring their progress - checking the quality KPI´s of service provided
• Implementing, monitoring and defining actions plans in line with KPIs
• Forecasting price trends and their impact on future activities
• Preparing market analysis and possible growth

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• Technical education is preferred
• Previous experience on a Buyer position
• Experience within the automotive industry
• Previous commercial customer experience
• Familiar with ISO 9001, EN ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and IATF 16949 standards
• Knowledge of G8D, FMEA methods
• Strong knowledge of purchasing concepts, processes, and structure in the industry
• Understanding of technology and industrial processes
• Experience with management of a long-term vision, as well as a short-term decision-making process
• Knowledge of strategic analytics tools
• Capacity to understand and breakdown offers received
• Ability to scout the market for strategic purchasing alliances
• Knowledge of legislation (national, EU, international)
• Understanding of product and corporation life cycle
• Active knowledge of English language
